To any and all Senior DFIR specialists out there in Australia. Do you crave being part of a larger organisation? Being treated like an adult and choosing as and when you go to the office? Get to work with some of the biggest and most advanced companies and their technology? This might be up your alley…
Some of the benefits before we jump into the day to day for this permanent position in Brisbane:
- Fully flexible working conditions allow you to choose when you go to the office and give you a bit more freedom, the client is the priority though so there is a requirement to go to client sites when incidents occur
- Working in a specialist team of experts in their field who are at the forefront of their profession and driving new ways to solve problems which you can learn from
- Opportunities to get an NV-1 or NV-2 security clearance to open loads of doors for you in the future
- A relocation allowance for those not based in Brisbane, if you’ve been wanting to move here for a while for the better weather now is a great chance to do so!
Here’s something about the company and the role
- First of all, they’re a well known security consultancy operating globally with all the badges in security under their belts. You’ll get to interact with specialists from a few countries and also occasionally travel outside of Australia.
- In terms of where this sits in the hierarchy, you have a line manager who is still hands-on with the tools leading a large team in Australia, there is another junior person in Brisbane and peers in other capitals to talk to
- This is a new role due to company growth, you’re not replacing anyone
- For their DFIR team, they have someone to take care of all the small admin tasks you would be expected to do in other companies giving you more time to focus on tech rather than sorting out the formatting of a report.
What do you need to bring to the table to have a chance?
- 5 years or more DFIR experience ideally in an MSSP or consultancy
- A self-starter who can hit the ground running
- Certifications are nice to have, if you have relevant ones from recognised certification bodies like GIAC or SANS they will help even more
- The ability to obtain NV-1 or NV-2 security clearance is a must
