Key Responsibilities:
Lead Security Initiatives: Oversee the integration and operation of security tools in cloud and on-prem environments, ensuring they align with security control standards.
Security Advisory: Advise on the selection of security tools/products for optimal protection in the company’s environment.
Testing & Quality Assurance: Perform testing of cloud security tools to ensure their effectiveness and improve overall security posture.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams, including the SOC, to support the usage of security tools and solutions.
Mentorship: Lead and guide two junior team members, providing technical advice and leadership.
Proof of Concept (PoC): Run PoCs for emerging technologies and tools to assess their fit for the environment.
3rd Level Support: Provide ongoing support for security products and services to mitigate product defects and incidents.
Cloud Security Expertise: Special focus on AWS, GCP (preferred), and Azure security, including Cloud Detection and Response tools.
Must-Have Skills:
Extensive experience in cloud security (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Expertise with security tools like CrowdStrike (EDR), Orca (Cloud Security Tool), and Cynapp
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
Strong problem-solving skills and technical leadership ability
Excellent communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams
Ability to mentor and lead junior staff members
