Contracting opportunity working for a leading financial services organisation to help deliver security architecture solutions across workplace technology projects.
This role will require a hybrid working arrangement with 3 days in the CBD office.
It pays a competitive daily rate and will roll every 6 months, with 12 months of current funding and 2 years worth of work in the pipeline.

The role: In this team of security architects, you will be the workplace technologies SME.
The Security Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions that protect workplace technologies, including laptops, mobile devices, Windows, and macOS platforms.
This role requires a deep understanding of the unique security challenges associated with these technologies and the ability to apply threat modeling techniques and conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate risks effectively.

Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement robust security architectures tailored to workplace technologies, ensuring the protection of sensitive data and compliance with industry standards.
- Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and guidelines specific to workplace technologies, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Use threat modeling techniques to identify vulnerabilities and assess potential risks associated with workplace technologies, enabling informed architectural decisions.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments of workplace technologies to identify security gaps and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Work closely with IT and other departments to integrate security measures into the deployment and management of workplace technologies.
- Stay abreast of emerging threats and advancements in security solutions related to workplace technologies, and proactively implement improvements.
Experience Required: - Proven expertise in securing workplace technologies (laptops, mobile devices, Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android).
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing security architectures and frameworks.
- Strong background in conducting risk assessments and applying threat modeling techniques to mitigate risks.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, including AWS and GCP, and their associated security features.
- Preferred experience with endpoint security tools, mobile device management (MDM) platforms, and authentication methods like MFA and SSO.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, AWS Certified Security Specialty, or GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer are highly desirable.
